Reading Identity

We talked about our reading identities this week. This was a great time for our Giraffes to learn things about themselves as readers and find other readers with similar identities.We talked about where we like to read as well, this is part of our identity. I got a picture of each friend in their "chosen" spot. Our friends wrote about their identities as well. So many fun things to learn about them as growing readers!

PTA meeting review

Great support of our second grade parents at the PTA meeting! Thank you to all that came :)

Here are some updates:
-Box tops are due Friday (clipped nicely please)
-Please work on your Panther Prowl pledge form!
-Turn in Square One Art by October 9
-Link your Family Fare/D&W card to Peach Plains online!! Every time you scan your Yes card we earn money to support learners!

Happy Monday Giraffes-

I have never been so excited for a Monday before- I just love spending the day with my Second Grade friends!

Congratulations to Emery for accomplishing Writer of the Week status! Emery combined emotion and details into a small moment about the playground. He is a rockstar writer!
